Hands On: Search
March 8, 2004
IMPAQT used its proprietary reporting and scoring tool, Search Position Score, to compare Axion’s organic search rankings against its competitors on the Web. “We made sure to capitalize on meta tags, content and basic HTML,” Burgess said, noting that the focus was on a relatively few refined search terms like “data entry projects” and “data entry services” rather than “data entry.”
Because it was prepared, IMPAQT was able to work quickly after the Google algorithm shift, researching the new algorithms in order to bring the company's ranking back to its pre-Google-update position.
