Search Specialist

Position Summary:

The Search Specialist will support the Search Account Manager in the development and execution of strategic and tactical initiatives designed to improve the online visibility of client Web sites within Paid and Organic search engine results.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the successful management of Paid and Organic Search campaigns by contributing to the strategy development, problem solving, and performance analysis
  • Perform frequent data manipulation and interpretation exercises, with Excel and proprietary tools
  • Work comfortably in dynamic, time intensive environments where consistent fire drills and competing priorities are commonplace
  • Self manage execution of activities against deadlines across multiple work-streams
  • Complete activities according to best practices, standard operations procedures, and team member guidance, consistently meeting quality standards and striving to add value in each activity
  • Active monitoring and sharing of industry news, on-line marketing trends, industry tools, and internal cross-team key learnings
  • Day-to-day activities include: competitive analysis, performance reporting, keyword research, quality audits, data manipulation, ad copy creation, web site architectural consulting, presentation development, industry research, etc.

 

Core Competencies:

  • Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills with internal team members, clients, and third party providers
  • Exhibit passion for learning, knowledge sharing, and idea generation in the Search marketplace
  • Data manipulation and analysis skills

Education / Experience Required / Preferred:

  • B.A./B.S. degree required; Marketing, Business, Information Sciences, and Economics preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of business experience; Search Engine marketing and/or on-line marketing experience a plus
  • Mastery of Excel, including extensive data manipulation, along with tactical execution including: pivot tables, V/H Look-ups, concatenation, macros, etc.
  • Self management of time, able to meet deadlines in time sensitive environment
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Energetic personality and passionate about the Search industry and working with Fortune 500 clients
